Operations Support Engineer – Digital Signage

About the role

EdgeBeam is seeking an Operations Support Engineer to own the end‑to‑end support of its digital signage solution. You will work onsite in Boston, handling escalations, automating processes, and ensuring the health of the Halo gateway fleet while collaborating closely with resellers and media owners.

Key responsibilities

• Own the digital signage support queue end‑to‑end, triaging tickets from customers and resellers and ensuring timely resolution.
• Diagnose and resolve Halo gateway issues remotely and on‑site, covering broadcast reception, cellular connectivity, content delivery and device health.
• Automate repetitive support, provisioning and onboarding tasks using scripts, scheduled jobs and integrations with Jira, CRM and inventory systems.
• Maintain operational tooling, integrate APIs, and keep device and CMS inventories accurate.
• Onboard resellers and media owners, manage device allocation, shipping and documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years in systems, networking, IT or field engineering, with 2–5 years owning technical customer support or NOC operations for hardware‑plus‑software products.
• Proven ability to automate manual processes and deliver measurable time savings.
• Strong communication skills for direct interaction with customers and partners, including handling escalations.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work onsite in Boston.

Required skills

• Python or Bash scripting.
• REST API integration.
• AWS console‑level experience.
• Linux command‑line proficiency.
• Network troubleshooting (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, traceroute).
• Jira and Confluence usage.
