Nutrition Service Assistant (Part-Time)

About the role

The Nutrition Service Assistant supports the daily food service operations at Sierra High School on a part‑time basis. Working four hours each day, the assistant helps ensure students receive safe, nutritious meals while adhering to district policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and service of meals in the school nutrition program.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and service areas.
• Follow food safety guidelines and district health requirements.
• Support lunch service schedules and help with inventory control.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education).
• One professional letter of recommendation with signature.
• Resume attached to the online application.
• Pre‑employment requirements: TB clearance and fingerprinting (employee cost if hired).
• Preference given to internal candidates.

Required skills

• Food safety knowledge (completion of a district‑approved food safety certification is desirable).
