About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II specialized in Hematology. This clinical staff position supports patient care by performing high‑complexity hematology testing and ensuring accurate laboratory results.
Key responsibilities
- Perform and interpret hematology analyses, including complete blood counts and differential counts.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment according to quality standards.
- Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and troubleshooting of assays.
- Document results accurately in the laboratory information system.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide timely diagnostic information.
Required profile
- Current or former employee of the University of Arkansas System with appropriate credentials.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
- Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
Required skills
- Proficiency in hematology testing procedures.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory compliance.
