About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I specialized in Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) testing. This clinical staff position supports the laboratory’s mission to deliver high‑quality diagnostic services and contributes to patient care within a collaborative health‑care environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform HLA typing and related immunogenetics assays in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of test results, quality control, and instrument performance.
- Participate in troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and validation of new assays.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other laboratory personnel to ensure timely and reliable test reporting.
- Adhere to safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Required profile
- Current or recent graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with clinical teams.
