About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I – Chemistry on a PRN (as‑needed) basis. This temporary, fixed‑term position supports the clinical chemistry laboratory, providing essential testing services to improve patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized chemistry analyses on patient specimens.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Document test results accurately and ensure timely reporting.
• Follow quality‑control procedures and comply with regulatory standards.
• Assist with specimen processing, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Eligibility to work within the University of Arkansas System (current employees, students, or graduate assistants may apply through Workday).
