Materials Planning Coordinator

About the role

The Materials Planning Coordinator is responsible for managing assigned commodities to ensure 100 % availability for scheduled production. The role collaborates across factory functions, overseeing inventory monitoring, ordering, expediting, and freight while building strong internal and external relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure 100 % availability of assigned commodities to meet scheduled production.
• Oversee inventory monitoring, ordering/expediting and freight coordination across the factory.
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies in the materials procure‑to‑pay and freight payment processes.
• Create, update and track inbound truck schedules and follow up on carrier compliance issues.
• Respond to supplier inquiries regarding payments, weights or grades.
• Reconcile BNSF miscellaneous accounts and support demurrage reconciliation and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Maintain ingredient freight‑rate summaries and manage rate‑configuration files.
• Participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence activities to drive results.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in material purchasing, inventory management or transportation coordination in a manufacturing, logistics, supply‑chain or related environment.
