Manufacturing Ops Engineering Project Engineer

About the role

Join 3M's Manufacturing Operations Engineering team in Little Rock, AR as a Project Engineer. You will work on capital projects that improve plant equipment performance, layout, and overall operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project timelines and budgets for assigned capital projects.
• Collaborate with plant personnel, consultants, and suppliers across multiple disciplines.
• Specify equipment performance and design criteria and estimate installation costs.
• Define and execute competitive bidding strategies.
• Oversee plant equipment layout, design, and construction activities.
• Lead equipment commissioning and ensure compliance with applicable codes and guidelines.
• Protect 3M intellectual property and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or final year) in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Mining Engineering.
• 1‑3 years of project management experience, preferably in quarry mining or heavy industrial operations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and lead cross‑functional teams.
