Manager, Risk Strategy

About the role

SentiLink builds real‑time fraud detection models that must satisfy rigorous model risk and regulatory scrutiny. As the Manager, Risk Strategy you will lead a growing team, set the long‑term governance strategy, and act hands‑on when needed. This is a remote, US‑based position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and develop a team of 3+ data scientists and governance professionals, scaling as the business expands.
• Own and elevate core governance functions: performance monitoring, drift monitoring, fair‑lending assessments, documentation, validation, model inventory, and change management.
• Define the strategy for automation, standardization, and industry‑leading practices.
• Manage relationships across Data Science, Engineering, Partner Success, Sales, and directly with customers and their model‑risk teams.
• Prepare validation reports, governance documentation, and performance summaries for internal leadership, customers, auditors, and regulators.
• Track remediation of governance findings and balance strategic work against customer and regulatory demands.
• Perform hands‑on work when required to unblock deals or deployments and mentor the team.

Required profile

• 8+ years in model risk management, model validation, or quantitative risk, with experience building or scaling a governance team.
• 4+ years of people‑management experience leading model‑risk or governance groups.
• Deep knowledge of model governance for financial institutions (SR 11‑7, SR 26‑2, OCC guidance, fair‑lending regulations).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; legal authorization to work in the US.
