Maintenance Technician – Wakefield Glen

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of Wakefield Glen – a stabilized garden‑style community in Raleigh – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment by tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials and tools efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and inventory tracking.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
