Maintenance Technician – Vermeer

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Vermeer property to ensure that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and maintain timely paperwork.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs in compliance with safety standards and local codes.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures and coordinating vendors or contractors.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory tracking and documentation.
