Maintenance Technician – Uptown La Grange

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Uptown La Grange community. The role ensures that apartments, common areas, and grounds meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation promptly and accurately to ensure proper tracking of work orders.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow safety and risk‑management policies, including participation in routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Organizational skills for tracking inventory, scheduling vendors, and managing multiple work orders.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
