Maintenance Technician – Avana on the Platte

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Avana on the Platte community in Denver. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas safe, functional, and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by tracking material usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools and supplies efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to perform hands‑on technical and mechanical tasks in a residential property setting.
• Familiarity with safety and risk‑management procedures and willingness to attend routine safety meetings.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
