Maintenance Technician – Amberwood at Lochmere

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of Amberwood at Lochmere – a stabilized garden‑style community – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and supporting the overall upkeep of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, adhering to safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts rather than replacing them whenever feasible.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical or technical issues and perform repairs in accordance with established policies.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures and coordinating vendors or contractors.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory management and documentation.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with a rotating on‑call rotation.
