Licensed Master Social Worker (PRN)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker on a PRN (as‑needed) basis to provide psychosocial support to patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning and community resource linkage.
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and emotional support throughout the patient’s care continuum.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the patient’s record in accordance with UAMS policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health‑care professionals to ensure coordinated, patient‑centered care.

Required profile

• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited program.
• Current Arkansas licensure as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work flexible PRN shifts as needed.
