About the role
We are seeking a polished Legal Administrative Assistant to join the M&A team of a globally recognized professional services firm in New York. The role supports high‑performing attorneys in a fast‑paced transactional environment, handling complex documents and tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and format complex legal and transactional documents using Microsoft Word and related Office tools.
- Proofread documents for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements.
- Support attorneys through corporate and transactional workflows, including opening new matters and conducting conflict checks.
- Handle time entry, expense reporting, and billing coordination.
- Manage file maintenance, records, and closing procedures.
- Provide professional communication support to clients, attorneys, and internal teams.
- Manage high‑volume phone and email communications with discretion.
- Collaborate with administrative team members to ensure seamless coverage.
- Assist with additional operational and administrative tasks as needed.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of legal or high‑level administrative support experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Independent work style with effective team collaboration.
- Flexibility to work overtime when business needs require.
