Leasing Professional – The Cortesian

About the role

This role coordinates marketing, leasing and renewal strategies for The Cortesian community to achieve occupancy, revenue and resident retention goals. The Leasing Professional handles all leasing activities, resident satisfaction and lease renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, ensure they are ready, and coordinate any needed maintenance.
• Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral programs and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Use property management software to track availability, record traffic, manage resident data and generate reports.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, phone or written communication to ensure satisfaction and secure lease renewals.

Required profile

• All state and local leasing licenses/certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneSite or Yardi property management software.
• Experience using internet marketing tools such as Craigslist, Facebook and email campaigns.
