Leasing Professional – Pencil Factory Flats

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive marketing, leasing and renewal activities for the Pencil Factory Flats community. You will be responsible for attracting new residents, ensuring a smooth move‑in experience, and maintaining high resident satisfaction throughout the lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate any needed maintenance, and ensure units are ready for residents.
• Monitor market trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and specials to sustain occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, and manage resident data.
• Maintain show‑unit standards, coordinate with maintenance, and keep the leasing office prepared for daily activities.
• Follow up with prospects and new residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to ensure satisfaction and lease renewals.
• Prepare renewal letters, meet with renewing residents, and ensure timely execution of renewal documents.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner inquiries, escalating issues as needed.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license (required to operate a golf cart on the property).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to be on call as needed.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• All state and local licensing or certification requirements for leasing professionals.
