About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a motivated MSW student from the University of Michigan School of Social Work to join the Resource, Acquisition, and Management (RAM) team as a Knowledge, Talent, and Data Systems Intern. This fully remote, unpaid field placement supports RAI‑US offices by strengthening private‑resource development and volunteer engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the RAM team in building and maintaining human‑centered systems for donor and volunteer engagement.
- Navigate and update multiple digital platforms and databases used across U.S. offices.
- Communicate with staff, volunteers, and community members to gather and disseminate information.
- Analyze external communications and platform data to inform responsive strategies.
- Support the development of creative private‑fundraising initiatives.
Required profile
- Current MSW student at the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
- Enthusiastic about detail‑oriented work in external communications and data management.
- Strong interest in humanitarian and refugee services.
- Ability to work independently with a flexible remote schedule.
