IT Security Specialist – Full-Time, Permanent

About the role

The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking an IT Security Specialist to support the judiciary’s information security function. Working under the direction of senior security leadership, you will help protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and monitoring access controls to protect data and restrict unauthorized access.
• Employ security management and monitoring processes and systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams on cybersecurity projects and manage project plans.
• Serve as liaison with government agencies on IT security matters.
• Help develop and implement IT and cyber‑security strategy, training, and architecture.
• Participate in technical reviews and change‑management processes.
• Create, document, and manage policies, procedures, and practices to ensure information availability, integrity, and privacy.
• Support compliance with relevant IT laws, regulations, standards, and policies.
• Coordinate security awareness programs and training.
• Assist with disaster recovery and incident‑management planning and testing.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, draft risk assessments, and maintain approved hardware/software lists.

Required profile

• Knowledge of project management techniques and IT security processes.
• Understanding of application design, system servers, client and database administration, and network configuration.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and government agencies.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
