Investment Banking Associate – Los Angeles Generalist

About the role

Santander is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its Los Angeles coverage team. The role offers exposure to a broad set of industries, including Financial Sponsors, Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure (REGAL) and Industrial Services, and provides a platform to develop technical and client‑facing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior bankers in originating and executing transactions across M&A, Leveraged Finance and ECM.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and detailed financial analyses.
• Develop, manage, and review financial models and valuation analyses.
• Mentor analysts and contribute to talent development initiatives.
• Participate actively in client meetings and deal discussions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or investment banking.
• Demonstrated knowledge of corporate finance and investment banking products, especially in the listed coverage groups.
