About the role
The Intervention Technician 2A operates and maintains subsea tooling, IWOCS/RWOCS, tensioning and reel systems in offshore environments. The role ensures safe, efficient operation of electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic subsystems while supporting corrosion control and housekeeping.
Key responsibilities
- Operate Subsea Tooling, IWOCS and RWOCS systems, as well as tensioning and reel equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic components and sub‑assemblies.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and alignment of test equipment and hydraulic power units.
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies for all electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic assemblies.
- Support corrosion control measures and general housekeeping on offshore platforms.
Required profile
- 12‑18 months of formal mechanical/hydraulic training and 12‑18 months of formal electrical/electronics training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to obtain a valid passport and any required offshore work documentation.
- High school diploma or GED; technical or associate degree preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proactive attitude, respect for colleagues, and familiarity with company policies and safety standards.
Required skills
- Operation of Subsea Tooling, IWOCS, RWOCS, and tensioning/reel systems.
- Knowledge of LARS (Launch and Recovery Systems) and hydraulic power units.
- Electronics repair and troubleshooting.
- Hydraulic system maintenance, including pumps, valves, and transmission equipment.
- Mechanical system repair and component replacement.
- Use of test equipment, calibration, and alignment procedures.
