Internal Legal Counsel

About the role

ThisWay Global, an AI‑first technology company, is building its first legal function. As the inaugural Internal Legal Counsel you will partner directly with the CEO and executive team to guide high‑impact deals across AI platforms, data‑center ground leases, and public‑sector collaborations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review contracts for data‑center leases, AI platform agreements, vendor relationships, and government partnerships.
• Provide strategic legal advice to mitigate compliance and operational risk as the business scales.
• Develop and implement scalable legal processes, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align legal strategy with business objectives.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting AI, HPC, and infrastructure sectors.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney admitted to practice in Texas.
• Experience advising technology or infrastructure companies, preferably with exposure to AI, data‑center, or public‑sector projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and build a legal function from the ground up.
• Strong commercial acumen and comfort operating in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.
