Intermediate Contracts Analyst

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking an Intermediate Contracts Analyst to support its Finance and Contract Administration team. This position plays a critical role in managing contract lifecycles, ensuring compliance, and providing analytical support for contract-related activities within a leading academic health center.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Maintain contract databases, track key dates, and ensure timely renewals and amendments.
• Analyze contract terms for financial impact and compliance with university policies.
• Provide reporting and metrics on contract performance to senior management.
• Assist in developing and improving contract administration processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in contract analysis, administration, or a similar finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret contractual language.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with contract management software or databases.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
