Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead our one‑person HR function at Voyager Industries in Brandon, MN. You will partner with leadership across four campuses, handling everything from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, benefits, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leadership on talent strategy, workforce planning, and succession.
• Analyze compensation and benefits trends and work with brokers to keep offerings competitive.
• Drive recruiting for entry‑level through professional and technical roles.
• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers on pay, PTO, benefits, time reporting, and related questions.
• Manage employee relations matters, including complaints, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Administer FMLA, PFML, short‑term disability, and related leave programs.
• Maintain and update the employee handbook, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and complete mandated reporting (EEO‑1, Form 5500, etc.).
• Maintain employee records in ADP Workforce Now and Voyager’s ERP system.
• Lead the Voyager Fun Force employee‑engagement team and develop recognition programs.
• Facilitate new‑hire orientation, ongoing training, and represent Voyager at unemployment hearings as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 2–3 years of HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel weekly to other Minnesota campuses.

• Salary range $65,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience.
