Household Manager & Family Assistant – San Jose/Santa Clara

About the role

We are recruiting experienced, reliable, and proactive Household Managers & Family Assistants to support families across San Jose and Santa Clara Counties. The role focuses on keeping households running smoothly through organization, light home care, family logistics, and meal support, with occasional childcare duties as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily home reset: light tidying, kitchen clean‑up, and organizing common spaces.
• Manage household inventory, restocking groceries, pantry staples, and supplies.
• Organize closets, playrooms, mudrooms, paperwork, and seasonal rotations.
• Coordinate with cleaners, vendors, deliveries, and home‑maintenance providers.
• Handle returns, errands, post office, pharmacy pickups, and online orders.
• Plan and prep simple, healthy meals or assist with weekly meal planning.
• Shop for groceries and keep the fridge/pantry organized.
• Pack snacks or lunches for school‑aged children when required.
• Assist with family scheduling, school forms, appointments, and travel preparation.
• Provide optional childcare support such as school or activity pickups, occasional date‑night care, and engaging children in crafts or play.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable, and proactive with the ability to anticipate needs.
• Calm under pressure and comfortable with changing priorities.
• Warm, respectful, and able to build trust with adults and children.
• Reliable transportation, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass a background check.
• Can maintain a smoke‑free environment and be vaccinated as requested by the family.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Calendar for scheduling.
• Comfort using shared family apps and online ordering platforms.
