Household Manager & Family Assistant – New York City

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Household Manager and Family Assistant to support families in New York City. The role focuses on keeping the home organized, handling daily logistics, and providing meal support, with occasional childcare duties as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily home reset tasks such as light tidying, kitchen clean‑up, and organizing common areas.
• Manage household inventory, restock groceries and supplies, and coordinate with cleaners, vendors, and maintenance providers.
• Plan and prepare simple, healthy meals, handle grocery shopping, and organize the pantry.
• Assist with family scheduling, school forms, appointments, and travel preparation.
• Provide optional childcare support, including school pickups, date‑night assistance, and engaging activities.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable, proactive and able to anticipate household needs.
• Calm under pressure, comfortable with changing priorities, and able to build trust with adults and children.
• Reliable transportation, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass a background check.
• Maintain a smoke‑free environment and be vaccinated as requested by the family.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Calendar for scheduling.
• Comfort using shared family apps and online ordering platforms.
