Household Manager & Family Assistant (Childcare & Meal Prep Support)

About the role

We are seeking a Household Manager & Family Assistant to support a busy Brooklyn family. The role combines childcare, meal preparation, pet care, and overall household organization to keep daily life running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off the child for school, activities, and playdates; supervise and assist with homework.
• Provide pet care including daycare transport, feeding, walks, medication administration, and occasional dog sitting.
• Manage laundry, ironing, and special garment care.
• Prepare healthy family dinners 2‑3 times per week and pack school lunches and snacks.
• Maintain household organization systems, daily resets, and seasonal clothing sorting.
• Restock pantry, handle grocery shopping, and manage household supply orders.
• Track family calendar, handle receipts and budget tracking, and coordinate child appointments.
• Oversee cleaners, contractors, and vendors; research repairs and quotes as needed.
• Perform occasional deep cleaning projects and organize storage spaces.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting a busy household or family with strong organization and initiative.
• Comfortable balancing childcare duties with hands‑on household tasks such as meal prep and laundry.
• Warm, responsible, and genuinely enjoys being around children and dogs.
• Clear communicator who can work independently after receiving direction.
• Dependable, punctual, and proactive in communicating unexpected changes.
• Looking for a long‑term position and willing to become a trusted part of the family.

Required skills

• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start).
• First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start).
