Household Manager & Family Assistant – Chicago

About the role

We are looking for experienced, reliable, and proactive Household Managers and Family Assistants to support families across Chicago. The role focuses on keeping households running smoothly through organization, light home care, family logistics, and meal support, with occasional childcare duties as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Daily home reset: light tidying, kitchen clean‑up, and organizing common spaces.
• Manage household inventory, restock groceries, pantry staples, and supplies.
• Coordinate with cleaners, vendors, deliveries, and home‑maintenance providers.
• Handle errands such as returns, post office, pharmacy pickups, and online orders.
• Plan and prep simple, healthy meals; assist with weekly meal planning and grocery shopping.
• Pack snacks or lunches for school‑aged children and support family scheduling, school forms, appointments, and travel preparation.
• Provide optional childcare support, including school or activity pickups, occasional date‑night care, and engaging children in crafts or play.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable, and proactive with the ability to anticipate needs.
• Calm under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities, and able to build trust with adults and children.
• Reliable transportation, eligibility to work in the U.S., and able to pass a background check.
• Maintain a smoke‑free environment and be vaccinated as requested by the family.

Required skills

• Google Calendar for scheduling and coordination.
• Familiarity with shared family apps (e.g., Amazon ordering, digital household tools).
