House Manager (Meal Prep and Occasional Childcare)

About the role

We are a busy tech‑savvy family in San Mateo looking for a part‑time House Manager to keep our home running smoothly during the morning hours. The role includes meal preparation, light housekeeping, managing errands and providing occasional childcare support. Hours are Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑12 pm, with a guaranteed 20 hours per week and pay of $40‑$45 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with morning routines, breakfast, and preparing children for school, including occasional drop‑offs.
• Maintain and improve household organization systems, handle laundry, dishes, and weekly cleaning tasks.
• Prepare simple, healthy meals and batch‑cook for the family while following strict nut‑free protocols.
• Restock pantry, manage inventory lists, run errands and handle package deliveries.
• Coordinate calendar updates for the family, track school communications and schedule appointments.

Required profile

• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and proactive with a love for creating systems.
• Comfortable around young children, able to provide occasional supervision and support.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and ability to work in the United States.
• CPR and First Aid certified, willing to train on EpiPen use.

Required skills

• Proficient with Google Calendar for scheduling.
• Experienced using Notion and other school communication apps.
