House Manager & Family Assistant with Meal Support

About the role

We are seeking a proactive House Manager and Family Assistant to support our blended family of four in North Ballard, Seattle. The role combines household organization, meal support, and occasional childcare duties, working 15–20 hours per week on a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily household order: make beds, clear surfaces, manage dishes, vacuum high‑traffic areas, and oversee weekly cleaning crews.
• Support family logistics: school pickups, sports equipment preparation, backpack and snack packing, and light backup childcare.
• Manage inventory and errands: restock pantry, handle grocery orders, process returns, and coordinate gift shopping.
• Provide meal assistance for up to four dinners per week, including grocery shopping, ingredient prep, and kitchen cleanup while adhering to strict nut‑allergy guidelines.
• Care for two dogs: daily feeding, walks, flea/tick medication reminders, and occasional overnight care.
• Perform routine home upkeep: replace batteries, light bulbs, maintain indoor plants, and handle seasonal clothing swaps.

Required profile

• Self‑directed and proactive, able to identify household needs without a detailed to‑do list.
• Comfortable around children and pets, with strong emotional intelligence and clear communication.
• Organized with an eye for design, able to create functional and aesthetically pleasing systems.
• Reliable personal transportation and willingness to obtain or maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Authorized to work in the United States and up‑to‑date on recommended vaccinations.
