House Manager & Family Assistant (Meal Prep Focus)

About the role

We are a dual‑career family in Los Altos with three school‑aged children, looking for a proactive and trustworthy House Manager to support household organization, meal preparation, errands, and light family assistance. The role works closely with the mother and requires independent initiative to keep the home running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare 3–4 healthy family dinners each week, shop for groceries and bulk items, and adapt meals for dietary needs.
• Provide occasional school and activity pick‑up/drop‑off within a short radius, using a reimbursed mileage vehicle.
• Schedule and manage household appointments, add reminders to the family’s Skylight calendar, and coordinate home maintenance projects.
• Handle online shopping, vendor communication, and run local errands such as returns and post office trips.
• Support laundry, restock household essentials, oversee deep‑clean or organization projects, and liaise with service providers.

• Independent and proactive, able to see what needs doing and take ownership.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and strong on follow‑through.
• Warm, personable, yet comfortable working autonomously.
• Tech‑savvy and comfortable using shared apps and the Skylight calendar system.
• Clear, respectful communicator.
