House Manager & Family Assistant – Meal Prep & Childcare

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated House Manager & Family Assistant to support a busy two‑parent household in New York. The role runs Tuesday‑Saturday, 12 pm‑7 pm, with occasional evenings and seasonal support at a secondary property in Westport, CT. You will ensure the home runs smoothly, assist with meals, childcare, and overall household organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain household systems, daily resets, and prepare the home for twice‑weekly cleaning.
• Coordinate family calendar, school events, appointments, and travel logistics.
• Supervise after‑school pick‑ups, assist children with routines, and arrange babysitter coverage.
• Plan, shop for, and prepare healthy family dinners and snacks; manage pantry and grocery orders.
• Handle laundry, linen care, and clothing organization, including school uniforms.
• Care for the family’s Cavapoo – feeding, walking, vet appointments, and medication.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, fueling, and documentation.
• Oversee vendors, contractors, and property maintenance, including repairs and seasonal décor swaps.

Required profile

• Proven experience in household management or similar fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate needs, create systems, and act independently without detailed direction.
• Warm, patient demeanor with young children and strong emotional intelligence.
• Clear communicator who respects professional boundaries and maintains confidentiality.
• Long‑term commitment to becoming a trusted part of the family’s support network.

What we offer

• Annual salary $72,000 – $83,000, commensurate with experience.
• Performance‑based bonus and two weeks paid PTO.
