HEI Program Coordinator

About the role

The Higher Education Institution (HEI) Program Coordinator supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of academic and social programs at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. This position works closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure programs align with institutional policies and community needs.

Key responsibilities

• Gather information on campus and community services, assess student and faculty needs, and develop recommendations for new or revised programs.
• Interpret and communicate state and federal regulations, as well as university policies, related to admissions, scholarships, disability services, and support for international and minority students.
• Provide technical assistance in designing, planning, and executing program activities.
• Assist with recruitment efforts and coordinate special events.
• Conduct workshops on leadership development, program planning, and communication skills.
• Represent the university at on‑ and off‑campus functions to observe best practices and promote program visibility.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating academic or student‑focused programs in a higher‑education setting.
• Knowledge of state and federal education regulations and university policies.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data to inform program decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse campus audiences.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously.
