Groundskeeper/Porter for Broadstone Ayrsley & Ayrsley Lofts

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of two residential communities – Broadstone Ayrsley and Ayrsley Lofts – in Charlotte, NC. The role supports the service team by keeping common areas, amenities, and vacant units clean and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day, removing litter, debris, and pet droppings to keep all common areas and amenities tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage spaces.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to property policy and ensure pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or potentially dangerous situations to the appropriate supervisors.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and promptly report accidents or incidents.

Required profile

• Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining community standards.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule across two locations.
• Compliance with safety training and willingness to report hazards promptly.
