Fund Accounting Manager – Real Estate Investment (2‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Manager for a two‑month on‑site contract with a real‑estate investment advisory firm. The role provides immediate leadership over fund accounting and oversight activities, ensuring accurate financial operations and reliable reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day fund accounting for real‑estate investment entities.
• Direct month‑end and period‑end close processes, reviewing reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external fund administration partners.
• Review fund‑level financial statements, capital activity, and investor‑related outputs for compliance.
• Monitor general ledger activity and evaluate complex fund transactions.
• Provide hands‑on leadership to address accounting questions and strengthen controls.
• Support audit readiness by organizing documentation and responding to auditor requests.

Required profile

• 10+ years of fund accounting experience, preferably as a Fund Accounting Manager or Controller.
• CPA designation is mandatory.
• Proven expertise in fund accounting within real‑estate investment environments.
• Strong knowledge of fund administration processes and third‑party oversight.
• Ability to manage complex accounting workflows in a fast‑moving contract assignment.
