Full-time House Manager & Family Assistant in Austin

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, full-time House Manager & Family Assistant to support a growing family in Austin. The role combines household organization, family logistics, and vendor coordination to keep the home running smoothly while parents focus on their children.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain organizational systems throughout the home (kitchen, laundry, closets, garage, playrooms) and execute daily resets such as cleaning, dishwashing, trash removal, and toy organization.
• Coordinate childcare coverage, school drop‑offs/pick‑ups, and act as a backup caregiver when needed.
• Manage all family laundry, linens, and garment care, ensuring proper sorting, folding, and storage.
• Oversee meal‑prep services, stock the refrigerator with children’s staples, pack lunches, and prepare simple breakfasts.
• Handle grocery and household shopping, maintain inventory lists, and manage subscription services.
• Supervise vendor relationships (cleaning, landscaping, pool service, pest control) and maintain the home‑maintenance calendar.
• Provide pet care for a medium‑size dog and tend to indoor plants.

Required profile

• Self‑starter who identifies needs and takes action without prompting.
• Highly organized with a strong eye for design and functional systems.
• Collaborative team player who enjoys working with nannies, parents, and grandparents and is comfortable with babies and toddlers.
