About the role

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Cape, you will build systems that deliver resilient, global connectivity with a security‑and‑privacy‑first mindset. You will work on everything from signaling firewalls to fake base‑station detection, ensuring users stay protected from malicious attacks.

Key responsibilities

• Build beautiful, responsive, and reliable websites and landing pages.
• Translate Figma designs into production‑ready code.
• Maintain high coding standards through guidelines, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Champion security, performance, and stability of web applications with robust testing and monitoring.
• Improve user workflows by collaborating across product teams for seamless experiences.
• Develop reliable, performant, and scalable systems that enable other teams to build robust web applications.

Required profile

• Proven ability to learn continuously, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Experience brainstorming and iterating with product designers.
• High ownership and drive to take problems from ideation to production.
• Thoughtful, practical problem‑solving that balances trade‑offs and avoids over‑engineering.
• Comfort working in a constantly evolving environment with dynamic objectives.
• Strong collaboration skills with technical and non‑technical teammates.
• Understanding of cryptographic systems and privacy‑focused design.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies even without deep prior experience.

Required skills

• 5+ years of full‑stack software engineering experience.
• Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Exceptional coding skills with TypeScript + React (or similar) and Go (or similar backend language).
• Familiarity with data structures, loading patterns, web frameworks, and related technical tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with a high bar for quality.
• Experience crafting complex user experiences with a strong intuition for design and usability.
