Fractional / Part‑Time Tax Accountant (Remote or US locations)

About the role

We are a financial advisory and wealth‑management technology platform seeking an entrepreneurial Tax Accountant to work on a fractional or part‑time basis. The role supports tax preparation and planning for high‑net‑worth clients, collaborating closely with our advisory team to embed tax insights into broader financial strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual tax returns for financial‑advisory clients.
• Prepare business, trust, or entity returns as needed.
• Support year‑round tax‑planning conversations with clients and advisors.
• Identify tax‑planning opportunities related to investments, retirement accounts, business ownership, equity compensation, real estate, charitable giving, and estate planning.
• Collaborate with the advisory team to integrate tax insights into client financial plans.
• Help develop scalable tax workflows, documentation standards, and client‑communication processes.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of tax filings.
• Stay current on federal and state tax‑law changes.

Required profile

• CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred.
• Experience preparing individual tax returns; experience with high‑net‑worth individuals, business owners, executives, or family‑office clients strongly preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fractional, part‑time, or flexible capacity.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in building a tax function within a growing advisory platform.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and deadline‑driven.
