Flex Assistant Stylist – Photo Studio (NYC)

About the role

Nordstrom is seeking a flexible Assistant Stylist to support its photo studio in New York. The role focuses on preparing merchandise for product and on‑figure photography, ensuring a smooth workflow for high‑volume e‑commerce shoots.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare samples for product and on‑figure photography with detailed, professional handling.
• Steam, iron, and care for a wide range of fabrics.
• Label merchandise accurately at receipt, during shoots, and upon return.
• Maintain an organized tracking system for inventory, styling area, and supplies.
• Collaborate with Merch Coordinators, Producers, Stylists, Digi Techs, and Photographers to achieve efficient results.
• Communicate with Product Coordinators to ensure proper handling of merchandise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of on‑figure, high‑volume e‑commerce assisting experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Understanding of high‑end retail and Nordstrom’s service environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Mac OS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
