Financial Controller

About the role

Cross Engineering Services is seeking a proactive Financial Controller to lead its finance team. You will oversee all financial operations, drive system improvements, and partner closely with accounting and project management functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting staff and external consultants.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including collections on past‑due invoices.
• Document contracts and addendums within the accounting system.
• Support project managers with weekly budget tracking.
• Prepare and distribute accurate quarterly financial statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts on a quarterly basis.
• Develop and implement internal financial policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6+ years of relevant accounting or financial experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ability to adapt to QuickBooks.
• Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Prior experience in a professional services environment is preferred.
• CPA certification is a plus but not required.
