Finance Intern (MBA) – Austin, TX

About the role

Applied Materials’ Finance Department is seeking MBA students for an 8‑10‑week Finance Intern position in Austin, TX, starting summer 2027. Interns will join the Financial Planning & Analysis team, providing analytics and investment decision support for worldwide operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and new product development.

Key responsibilities

• Focus on one or more projects that help the finance organization drive executive decision‑making around key business issues.
• Drive process efficiency and improve scalability of financial workflows.
• Support company‑wide costing council and promote commonality across all segments.
• Assist in shaping strategic direction to execute business‑unit and corporate strategies.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing an MBA with graduation planned for 2027; 4‑7 years of prior finance or accounting experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities, with experience applying AI and data analytics to improve financial processes.
• Proactive self‑starter capable of working independently and collaboratively in teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
