Family Assistant with Childcare Support

About the role

Our family of five in Old Greenwich is seeking a trusted partner to help keep our days running smoothly. The role focuses on family logistics, childcare support, errands, meal assistance, and organization, complementing existing cleaning and laundry help.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily family routines, especially busy mornings, including school transportation and activity‑related driving.
• Provide occasional backup childcare, prepare backpacks, snacks, and assist with kid‑related errands.
• Maintain household organization systems, perform daily resets, and keep kitchen and high‑traffic areas tidy.
• Prepare healthy breakfasts (5×/week) and assist with school lunch and family dinner preparation (2‑3×/week) following provided recipes.
• Manage inventory, grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, and mail handling.
• Care for the family dog, including feeding, walking, and medication administration.

Required profile

• Warm, kind, and naturally connects with children and family members.
• Proactive, organized, reliable, and punctual with a calm, positive attitude.
• Trustworthy, discreet, and able to work collaboratively with existing household staff.
• Adaptable and comfortable shifting priorities as family needs change.

Required skills

• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Tech‑savvy: comfortable using email, scheduling tools, online ordering, and returns.
