Facilities Maintenance Technician II

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II provides maintenance and facilities support for a manufacturing site that produces umbilicals for the oil and gas industry. The role involves preventive inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of equipment and building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document preventive inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems, process chillers, cooling towers, plumbing, cranes, air compressors, forklifts, aerial lifts, generators and light towers.
• Maintain facility electrical infrastructure (120 V‑480 V circuits) and general building systems.
• Complete minor construction projects such as drywall, painting, and office/room updates.
• Use computer software to update work orders, track time, and maintain equipment documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3‑5 years of facility maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to navigate computer files, use MS Word, Excel and Gmail.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card and pass drug and hair‑follicle testing.

Required skills

• HVAC system maintenance.
• Plumbing and electrical circuit work (120 V‑480 V).
• Reading hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Use of multimeter, torque wrench, and equipment alignment tools.
• Computer software for work‑order management.
