Extra Help – Fitness Center Staff

About the role

The Extra Help – Fitness Center Staff position supports daily operations of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Fitness Center located in the Donaghey Student Center. Working part‑time, the assistant interacts with students, faculty and visitors, gaining experience in facility management, programming and event coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Verify member eligibility by checking swipe cards for entry into the Fitness Center.
• Greet visitors and provide front‑desk assistance.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries about the Fitness Center.
• Assist callers with information regarding hours, programs, and services.
• Support scheduling of fitness classes and special events as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work at least 15 hours per week (flexible scheduling).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work collaboratively with university staff and students.
