Executive Director – Institutional FX Sales

About the role

Santander is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead its Institutional FX Sales team within the Global Markets division of Corporate Investment Banking. The role focuses on serving hedge‑fund clients across the region, delivering sophisticated FX options and broader derivative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and deepen relationships with institutional clients, especially hedge funds.
• Provide market updates, trade ideas and macro‑economic commentary to grow the FX franchise.
• Identify new business opportunities and cross‑sell across the Bank.
• Collaborate with trading desks to design hedging solutions.
• Partner with Desk Strategists and other sales teams for a seamless client experience.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, risk requirements and regulatory frameworks.

Required profile

• 10+ years of FX sales experience within a financial institution.
• Strong institutional client network and proven revenue generation.
• Deep understanding of macro‑economics and financial markets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
