Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager

About the role

The EH&S Manager will lead risk‑reduction, continuous‑improvement and regulatory projects across the facility. You will interact daily with all organization levels, analyze injury trends, and mentor the local team to build a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the company’s EH&S management system to meet federal, state and local regulations.
• Integrate safety and environmental management into daily operations and work with facility leadership to achieve goals.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and ensure hazardous chemicals are handled, stored and disposed of properly.
• Provide training, support and education to operations on safety and environmental programs.
• Conduct environmental audits, file compliance reports and manage safety investigations with root‑cause analysis.
• Communicate effectively across all organizational levels and act as a change agent.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of state Workers’ Compensation regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Knowledge of OSHA standards
• Familiarity with DOT regulations
• Understanding of EPA standards
• Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems
