Energy & Utilities Safety AI Trainer (Remote, $140–$160/hr)

About the role

We are looking for seasoned Energy & Utilities professionals to join our AI Labor Marketplace as Safety AI Trainers. In this remote, part‑time consultancy you will help shape the next generation of large language models by creating and evaluating industry‑specific safety scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Generate realistic, domain‑specific scenarios covering sexual content, violence, self‑harm, and hate.
• Evaluate AI‑generated outputs and identify nuanced safety, risk, and policy edge cases.
• Apply detailed annotation guidelines and attach structured metadata to each example.
• Document classification decisions with clear rationale and review work for consistency and realism.
• Contribute your domain expertise to improve safety classifiers used in AI systems.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in utility operations, industrial safety, NERC/FERC compliance, environmental compliance, or grid security.
• Professional titles such as Plant Safety Manager, Senior NERC/FERC Compliance Specialist, Grid Security Engineer, Operations Director, or Environmental Safety Lead.
• Proven ability to make operational, compliance, safety, security, legal, technical, or policy decisions.
• Strong written communication and analytical skills, with the capacity to evaluate ambiguous scenarios.
• U.S.-based professional.
