EMS/EMT Faculty Instructor

About the role

The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College is seeking a qualified faculty member to teach Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses. The position reports to the EMS Program Director and supports the college’s mission to provide high‑quality associate‑degree and certificate programs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver assigned EMS/EMT classroom and laboratory instruction in accordance with approved syllabi.
• Assist the EMS faculty and Program Director in developing and updating course curricula, standards, and policies.
• Create and maintain instructional materials such as handouts, lecture slides, lab exercises, and course outlines.
• Utilize current instructional technologies, including computers, audio‑visual equipment, and computer‑assisted instruction programs, to enhance student learning.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of grades and attendance.

Required profile

• Relevant EMS/EMT certification and professional experience in emergency medical services.
• Demonstrated ability to teach diverse student populations with varying abilities and expectations.
• Willingness to work under the direct supervision of the EMS Program Director.
• Commitment to the college’s academic standards and student success.

Required skills

• Proficiency with instructional technology such as computers, audio‑visual equipment, and computer‑assisted instruction software.
