Electronic Systems Technician – AV & Smart Tech

About the role

The Electronic Systems Technician implements, configures, and maintains advanced audiovisual and smart‑technology solutions for residential and commercial spaces. This position requires precise cable work, equipment installation, and system programming to deliver cutting‑edge experiences that exceed client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, label, and test low‑voltage cables for audio, video, data, security and control systems.
• Run, fish, and terminate low‑voltage wiring throughout structures.
• Install displays, mounts, speakers, cameras and other equipment using in‑wall, ceiling and structural mounting methods.
• Configure and program integrated automation platforms, advanced security systems and robust network infrastructures.
• Assist in system commissioning, testing, and client training walk‑throughs.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues across AV, data networks, security platforms and control equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in audiovisual installation and support.
• Ability to safely operate motor vehicles and construction tools in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Physical capacity to lift up to 75 lb, stand or walk 70% of the time, and work in temperature extremes.

Required skills

• Low‑voltage wiring, cable pulling, termination, labeling and testing.
• AV equipment installation including displays, speakers, cameras and mounts.
• Configuration and programming of automation, security and network systems.
• Interpretation of technical schematics, drawings and blueprints.
• Device configuration and computer network installation.
