Electro Mechanical Technician – 12hr Shift

About the role

The Electro Mechanical Technician's primary responsibility is to maintain equipment proactively, identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical abnormalities on all factory equipment. Perform preventative maintenance to drive down performance losses and increase equipment reliability. Build operator technical skills and capability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify defects, execute maintenance plans and troubleshoot equipment across material handling and storage areas.
• Maintain and service power distribution systems up to 480 V, PLCs, motors, sensors, drives and basic electrical circuits.
• Work on mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical drive components.
• Review and optimize maintenance plans and spare‑part inventories to improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical) and update CMMS work orders.
• Coach operators on adjustments, changeovers and new processes, and develop technical procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two‑year technical degree in a maintenance‑related field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, Electronics Technology) or equivalent work experience.

Required skills

• Hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical drive systems.
• Industrial electrical wiring, NEC knowledge, AC/DC circuits, 480 V power distribution.
• PLC programming and hard‑wire logic circuits.
• Motor, drive and sensor knowledge.
• Welding, fabrication and machining.
• Use of test equipment such as amp meters and meggers.
• Reading and interpreting machine, electrical and facility drawings.
• Familiarity with CMMS (AMM) and production workflow/control systems.
